From the moment Tommy moved to Colorado as a child, he has sought out new ways to engage with the natural world. It was through the camera that Tommy discovered an innate desire to seek out and capture the fleeting, wild moments across our planet that few ever witness. His artistic journey began in the sprawling wilderness he still calls home, setting the stage for a lifelong commitment to its exploration and preservation.
AWARD-WINNING DIRECTOR
Tommy Joyce is an award-winning National Geographic photographer, documentary filmmaker, and co-founder of both Joyce Productions alongside his wife Britt and Triage Creative alongside Keith Ladzinski.
Tommy's passion for visual storytelling is inspired by a love of skiing, the outdoors, and the wildlife of our planet. He is based in Boulder, Colorado.
Over nearly 15 years, Tommy has worked across all seven continents — from diving with fur seals in Antarctica to documenting super tusker elephants in Africa. His work spans wildlife, landscape, culture, and high-performance sport, and has been published globally by National Geographic, Canon, Toyota, Adidas, Netflix, Stio, and Disney, among others.
As a filmmaker, Tommy has earned over two dozen film festival awards including Telly Awards and Banff International Film Festival. His documentary work as a National Geographic filmmaker has taken his storytelling to some of the planet's most remote and extraordinary places. His portfolio features national TV spots, branded content, and feature-length films.
